A Catholic funeral is an opportunity to give thanks for the life of someone we love, to come together in prayer and to entrust them to God’s loving care.
If you would like to arrange a funeral at Holy Name, please contact your chosen funeral director, who will liaise with the parish on your behalf to make the necessary arrangements, including agreeing a date and time for the service.
Holy Name Death Café
You might also be interested in our Holy Name Death Café, a welcoming and informal gathering where people come together over tea and cake to talk openly about death, dying and bereavement.
Conversations can cover anything from coping with grief and planning a funeral to wishes for end-of-life care. There is no set agenda, no pressure to speak and no charge to attend.
Everyone is welcome, whether you have experienced a recent loss or are simply interested in exploring these subjects with others.
Our Death Cafés take place periodically in the Church Hall. Please check our latest parish newsletter for details of the next gathering.
