Deacon Jeremy Wynne

Deacon Jeremy was ordained to the permanent diaconate by Bishop Stephen Wright on 5 July 2025 in St Mary’s Cathedral, Newcastle upon Tyne. This marked the culmination of four years of discernment and formation both within the Diocese and the Northern Diaconal Formation Partnership.

In the Summer of 2020 Jeremy retired from uniformed service in the RAF and the family relocated to Jesmond and became a active members of Holy Name Parish. Jeremy took up a part-time civilian position to provide administrative and pastoral support to the Catholic Chaplaincy of the RAF, a role which allows him to maintain a connection to the RAF and to organise pilgrimages, retreats and other events for the Bishopric of the Forces.
