Following a protracted period of recuperation from foot surgery in January (I’ve just begun physiotherapy), and now dealing with a herniated disc in my lower back, I have resigned as Dean of our Partnership of eight parishes.

This year I have not been able to give the post of Dean (and other responsibilities) the commitment and energy required, and would not be able to do so for many months to come. So it is only fair to the other parishes in the Partnership, and to their representatives on the Development Group and Finance Committee, that I resign.

My hope now is that as my health improves I’ll be able to devote my energy to Holy Name.

The Bishop has appointed Fr Sean Hall, St Mary’s, Forest Hall, as the new Dean and I am sure everyone will join me in wishing him well.

Fr Michael Campion
